One Year

An Anniversary Gift

It's really been a wonderful year for our Nick, spent with his much loved girlfriend Emily who we all adore. In many ways it feels like they have been with each other now so much longer than 12 months, both really great wonderful kids, bright and focussed on what's important in life. It's also kinda cute that her Mum Liz and I were there when they first met too. I was planning a girls morning tea out with my bestie Sue and Liz (who also happens to be Sue's aunty). It did seem a tad strange when Nick asked me if he could tag along too *huge grin* (although his sister may have whispered there was s'thing in the wind hee hee) there was definitely plans afoot! Surprisingly Nick and Emily had never actually met that we can remember but that day they both turned up with their mummas. Nick had a huge smile on his face when he saw her and I heard Emily whisper to her Mum "Oh wow, he's tall"... all so SO sweet. The pair left us for some time at maccas and then a movie, which then extended to lunch and then an invitation for dinner. I think their first date lasted something like 12 hours LOL and they haven't been apart since.

Nick wanted to celebrate their first anniversary together with a special gift, and after much searching found this beautiful 9ct gold diamond & heart shaped amethyst ring for his sweetie (he was determined it was going to be a heart). Emily loves all things purple so this was perfect, it was a great choice. I haven't been able to share this photo, one of my Photo A Day images, until it was on his Emily's finger.

...and a couple of photos of Nick with his "Remmy", as he calls her , heading off on one of their nights out down in Brisbane. :)

Happy "One Year" blessings Nick and Emily!

LOL Krystal it's ok I know you. :) When the kids were little though and I was scrapbooking people would introduce themselves because they recognised me and often the kids from the layouts in the mags! Mixed feelings on that one, kinda why I went "private" with the whole blog thing iykwim...
