365 +1 (Week One)

One of my (many!) goals for this year is to be a part of the 365 +1 Photo Challenge with a lovely group of girls over at Facebook... taking and sharing photos each day of our lives, our loves, the everyday moments to treasure! Because I have a number of family and friends who aren't on Facebook I thought I'd share them here each week too, sometimes they will be the same photos and sometimes I'll choose another favourite from that day to share and record. So looking forward to this. Here is Week One...

________ WEEK ONE ________

January 1
(Week One - "SHARING")

Just a snap of our 3 little "Mini Lillys", I could watch them play together all day they are SO cute. Today we started teaching the kittens how to lap from a bowl and use the litter tray. Two of them are doing pretty well but the littlest one prefers his mumma...

January 2

Today I packed my new 'kinis and beach gear as Michael and I headed to the coast for the day... us and about a gazillion other people as it turned out! LOL Had lots of fun spending the whole day together though, especially as he has been away overseas. We lazed on the beach, had lunch at a little pub, swam, drinks and prawns at the Surf Club and then an evening wander through Surfers for some window shopping and desserts. Finished up lying on those cool wave benches looking at the waves by moonlight too.

January 3

Michael has been enjoying riding his bike for some exercise recently, often around our local area in the early evening but also down in Brisbane along the many bike tracks. This week I had a call from his mobile saying to grab the shovel from the garage... he had arrived home but couldn't get in as there was a snake in our front entry!

January 4

Today I finally took a photo of our Christmas Tree... yes it's STILL up even though we are well into the New Year. *blush* I have to admit with Michael away I had little enthusiasm for putting it up in the first place so I guess it doesn't matter that it stays up a little longer? This is the first year we have had the tree in our formal lounge instead of the TV room, felt it was time for a change. I chose traditional red and gold for the tree this year, just a little tribute to my beautiful friend Natti and her angel baby Sebastian - Red for Seb.

January 5

Our Nick and his lovely girl Emily have been together 12 months and he wanted to give her something special to celebrate... a sweet 9ct gold diamond and heart shaped amethyst ring. He'd spent quite a while looking and then asked if I wanted to come along too. He was so keen to find a heart shaped amethyst and there it was, the perfect ring for his girl. Was so lucky to be there when he found his beautiful gift.

January 6
Quite a few months ago I saw this pretty dress online and thought how cute it would be. I also noticed that depending on the site the price varied enormously up to $70 (which I wasn't going to pay). I ended up buying it for about $13 plus postage, a BARGAIN, and after 2 months waiting for it the postie finally arrived today. :)

January 7

Kittens everywhere!! LOL Today was definitely the day we HAD to take down the Christmas Tree because it also the day our 3 little mischief makers discovered how fun it was to climb it! I was so worried they would hurt themselves on the sharp wire branches.
