365 + 1 (Week Two)

First day back to work for me today, looking forward to a wonderful year with a new job share partner and a new bunch of munchkins to teach. Will admit though, it's only day one and I am already exhausted! LOL Oh dear, only 3oo and something odd days to go. *grin*

______________ WEEK TWO ______________

January 8

I know this is a shocking iPhone pic but I don't care... it is definitely my photo of the day! My hubby and I spent the day together at Southbank, swimming in the pools, lazing on the sand, lunching together and then got changed and had drinks & dinner at a cute Indian curry place there. Walking hand in hand through the City is always fun. I totally *heart* times like these. Appreciate them so much with Michael overseas recently too.

January 9

For quite a while now I have been keen to create a family photo wall for our home and have been keeping my eye on particular black frames when they go on special and buying them for when I'm ready to create Our Wall. These are just a few of the many sizes I've collected over time, and with today's purchase you can see here, I have enough!! Just need to clean up my front room first (my incentive) but boy oh boy THAT is one BIG job. *blush* It is my craft room & the first room you see when you enter our home, it's so messy I'm ashamed to admit. Wish me luck!

January 10

It's me! A very quick self portrait for this week (don't look too closely no make up and hair tied back as it's SO hot here again). Today I was lucky enough to have some "me" time with a lovely morning tea and lunch out with my sweet friend Sue at Shingle Inn. With the holidays we haven't had a chance to see each other every week like we always do so there was lots of chatter! *grin*

January 11

Yes this is definitely a teen bedroom! LOL Our Nick has been working hard & finally spent some of his dollars on a TV for his room, a whopping big 42 inch flat screen 3D thing, bigger than our family one. Nick's girlfriend Emily bought the gorgeous glass and chrome unit as her gift to him for their One Year together. So spoilt! He's pretty happy with it to say the least!

January 12
(Week 2 - "OPEN")

Thought I'd better take a photo of the gorgeous agapanthus blooms in our front garden before they are gone. We're so lucky, one of our neighbours was culling his beautiful garden and gave us a pile of these (think he was trying to tell us something about our sad & sorry lack of "green thumbness"! LOL) They add such a lovely colourful touch of purple to our garden which always makes me smile. We're very fortunate to have such caring neighbours, this is the same fellow who helped me concrete in our new letterbox a while back when Michael was overseas. I was desperate to surprise my hubby with it when he returned but was having, ahem LOL, some "difficulties" *grin* digging the huge hole for it. He came over and helped me out straight away and I think of his kindness every time I look at it. I love living here!

January 13

Here is our 15 year old all ready for the next Paintball Tournament this week. Lately our Alex (and Nick too!) have enjoyed quite a few sessions of Paintball fun with their friends. Alex just loves it and has started buying his own gear. Today these "mad" (as he puts it) paintball pants arrived from Sydney, pretty cool I agree.

January 14

Michael won the Friday Avo work raffle and came home with this last night. He said he would have preferred the box of chocolates but hey, I'm thinking Strawberry Champagne Cocktails don't sound too bad!!
